TIO for KIDS!

Congratulations and appreciation to Sharon Goods and Kenoli Oleari for their perseverance in securing a grant of $4,500 from the City of Richmond to produce 25 large format banners of student art at Washington School on the theme of “Diversity in Culture and Diversity in Nature”. The banners will be displayed on the schoolyard cyclone fences. Money from this grant has provided over $1,000 in art supplies and an “art cart” that makes it easy for each classroom to access the supplies as they work on the project. Since there is no current budget for art at the school, this project provides a unique opportunity for the students. This project is the first of many ways that AOPR members can be involved in bringing additional art experiences to Washington School students

Hi Andi, thank you for offering to donate art supplies to the school. Others have done the same. We will coordinate an efficient way to accept donations and let the membership know.

Good work, Sharon and Kenoli! Would donations of gently-used art supplies be of additional use?
