In my artistic practice, I harness the unpredictable nature of watercolor to evoke emotions from unexpected sources. Each abstract painting serves as a visual exploration of the fleeting and profound sensations that arise from the depths of human experience.
Central to my artistic process is the practice of capturing fleeting moments of inspiration through sketches. Each sketch serves as the cornerstone of my creative journey, a documentation of my mental landscape. Through this process, I uncover motifs that resonate deeply with both beauty and significance.
Before embarking on the painting process, I strategically map out my journey, preserving the untouched purity of the paper with liquid frisket. This pivotal decision shapes the trajectory of the artwork, as once I commence painting, there is no recourse to add white.
Guided by the landmarks laid in by the frisket, I embark on a voyage of discovery. Sometimes, I don the captain's hat, steering towards the original sketch with precision. Other times, I surrender to the serendipity of the process, allowing the painting to dictate its course. Ultimately, each artwork becomes a reflection of my quest to comprehend my place within the intricate tapestry of existence.
