Ali Amaro creates art jewelry and objects that celebrate heritage, culture, and connection to place. She uses repurposed heirlooms, found objects, travel mementos and keepsakes collected over the years as the inputs to her pieces.
In addition to working with alternative materials, Ali makes contemporary jewelry in sterling silver and gold with precious gemstones. She is interested in pattern, repetition, transformation, and the creativity that emerges when working within constraints. She enjoys working on commissioned pieces as well as limited-edition collections.
Ali has a gallery and design studio in Point Richmond where she features her own work as well as that of select guest artists. She holds a BFA in Jewelry/Metal Arts from the California College of the Arts and an MBA in Marketing from the University of New Mexico.
